Specific Chiropractic Adjustments

Wake Spine & Rehab, located in Cary, NC 27511, is a modern facility where we offer specific scientific chiropractic adjustments.  Our goal with this care is to reduce and remove interference from your nervous system, known as subluxations.

Our bodies have an innate ability to heal and maintain health, as long as the nervous system—the body's primary control mechanism—is free from interference. One major source of interference is subluxation, or misalignment of the vertebrae, which can disrupt nerve communication and limit the body's natural function.

When nerve signals are impaired, the affected area of the body may weaken or stop functioning properly. Even though your innate intelligence is always working, misalignments can slow or block nerve transmission. Over time, with consistent care, correcting subluxations allows the body to heal naturally—without drugs or surgery.

In chiropractic, motion isn't just about physical movement, but the intelligent direction of force. Every adjustment applies a specific force to a vertebra—often one that appears at rest but is still undergoing microscopic (molecular) motion, such as during breathing. This motion is harnessed during an adjustment to help realign the spine.

The art of spinal motion has the potential to profoundly improve health. A chiropractic adjustment not only realigns vertebrae but also stimulates the nervous system, supporting the body's innate intelligence. By improving spinal flexibility and restoring proper motion—even at the molecular level—patients may experience better range of motion, enhanced nerve function, and an overall greater expression of life.

Modalities Used for Maintenance Care:

  • Therapeutic ultrasound is applied to targeted soft tissue areas to promote healing by increasing local blood flow, reducing inflammation, and enhancing tissue elasticity through deep thermal effects.

  •  Interferential current (IFC) therapy delivers mild electrical stimulation to the affected area, helping decrease muscle spasms, and improve local circulation and muscle relaxation.

  • Roller table therapy (intersegmental traction) uses a motorized table with moving rollers beneath the surface to gently mobilize the spine, improve flexibility, and relax paraspinal muscles.
